Joint Meetings

It was a successful joint meeting between the four clubs Rotary Club of Bagatelle, Rotary Club of Flacq, Rotary Club de Grand Baie and Rotary Club of Vacoas on Friday 22 September.
Rotarians of the four clubs were high in attendance and were graced with inspirational speeches by distinguished and seasoned Rotary members. It was a great moment of camaraderie at the enchanting venue of Indra Restaurant.
19th March 2025
The Rotary Clubs of Bagatelle, Port Louis and Albion held a joint meeting at Opium Restaurant, Bagatelle on Wednesday 19th March 2025.
The meeting kicked off with speeches by the 3 Club Presidents – Cecile Leong Son (Rotary Club of Port Louis), Dominique Woomed (Rotary Club of Albion) and Veena Moloye (Rotary Club of Bagatelle). They shared their Clubs’ mission, important milestones and vision.This was followed by a presentation of the Clubs’ projects.
Charter President Amaresh Ramlugan presented our impactful initiatives – the Squint Project, SLAM Competition, STOPP Campaign, Women Entrepreneurs Leadership Programme, amongst others, highlighting their meaningful contribution to the community. He also shared some insights on the Rotary Club of Bagatelle’s approach to Membership Development.
We were also honored by the presence of District Governor-Elect Bernard Leong Son, who enriched the discussions with his insights and encouragement.
The Joint Meeting fostered exchanges on potential collaborations, exploring ways our Clubs can join forces for greater impact. The evening concluded with a fellowship dinner, where members of the 3 Clubs shared ideas, strengthened bonds and celebrated the spirit of Rotary.
28th March 2025
Le 28 mars 2025, le Rotary Club Le Réduit a accueilli le Rotary Club de Bagatelle pour une soirée d’échanges et de camaraderie en présence de l’ADG Roselyne. Un échange de fanions entre le Président Vinod et la Présidente Veena a symbolisé l’amitié entre les clubs.
Lors des invertentions, l’ officier de district Praveen a souligné l’importance de la Fondation Rotary, tandis que le Président fondateur Amaresh a partagé une réflexion sur l’évolution du Rotary. L’ADG Roselyne a mis en avant la force du réseau rotarien et l’importance de la collaboration interclubs.
Un moment clé fut la présentation du projet Squint 3.0, visant à offrir des soins ophtalmologiques à des enfants atteints de strabisme, avec une levée de fonds pour l’intervention de spécialistes indiens à l’hôpital de Moka.
Cette rencontre a renforcé les liens entre les clubs et ouvert la voie à de nouvelles collaborations pour un impact durable.
