The Rotary Club Bagatelle, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Wellness, celebrated the World Breastfeeding week from the 06th to 11th August.

RC Bagatelle facilitated a Train the Trainer programme, where two expert speakers, Mrs Nomajoni Ntombela, IBFAN regional coordinator, and Mr Eric Sithembiso, nutrition specialist, addressed the importance of breastfeeding to an audience of health professionals and relevant NGOs.

A Rotary zoom talk was also organised to the benefit of Rotarians, dietitians, psychologists, obstetricians and breastfeeding mothers, in the presence of our District Governor Luderce Camalon.

Finally the nursing staff of C-Care interacted with our two speakers during a special session that was organised at the clinic.

Breastfeeding is of utmost importance and should be promoted and encouraged worldwide. The RC Bagatelle was happy to facilitate and contribute to this important cause in Mauritius.
